As India modernizes there are many dramatic pieces salvaged from building renovations. Some are simple building materials such as carved brackets, but others are much more spectacular. Below are some examples of what comes into Maiwa East.

 

 


 

 

 

 

A complete three-door threshold. Made entirely of teak, this threshold has a regular sized double door in the centre and two smaller (children sized) doors on each side. The entire piece is about twelve feet wide and ei feet high. It is masterfully made with original hardware. in the foreground you can see some other eclectic items - carved tuareg tent pegs. Ornamental moulding. This piece is about three feet long, ten inches high and four inches deep. $399.00

 

 


 

 

 

 

Carved wooden panels. We get these in a bewildering array of styles and designs. They may have originally been part of a wall or ceiling. Pictured 14" x 20" $129.00

 

 


 

 

 

 

Two doors and jam. Impressively carved. From Haryana, this door arrived with all the surounding wood. It can be custom fitted into a new building or renovation. $2,100.00

 

 


 

 

 

 

Complete, intact ceiling panel with supporting woodwork. Usually we make these into table tops, but this one still exists as a ceiling panel. It can be fitted into many custom applications. Price $1,995.00
