Applicators

There are many tools that can be used to apply resists. Below are several we use in our studio.

2 OUNCE PLASTIC BOTTLE
Easy to use. Not recommended for fine lines.

1.25 OUNCE PLASTIC BOTTLE
This is a great, new plastic bottle that comes with 3 sizes of interchangeable, very good quality, metal nibs with small, medium and large openings.

INDIAN TJANTING TOOL
Excellent for the application of hot wax, this tool creates fine or thick lines depending on pressure to the fabric. Spout size – small, medium, large.

INDONESIAN TJANTING TOOL
This tool has a large brass bowl at the end to hold more wax.

KISKA
Typically used for Ukrainian egg waxing, excellent for batik. Small, medium or large spout.

ROFUDE BRUSH
Sheep hair brushes used for hot wax resist work (batik, bokashi, etc.). These brushes form a good point and last well.
